When I was choosing a supplier for my first Shopify store, HHC came up as one of the more popular Pakistan-based options. After actually using it, here's my honest, unfiltered take — the good and the genuinely frustrating parts.

What HHC Actually Is

HHC is a Pakistan-based dropshipping marketplace connecting local sellers to a catalog of products, with dispatch handled from Karachi. It's built around Cash on Delivery, which is a major reason I chose it over international suppliers in the first place.

What I Liked

Local, COD-friendly setup. Since HHC dispatches locally and supports COD, it matched exactly what Pakistani buyers expect at checkout — no need to force customers into a prepaid model they don't trust yet.

Reasonably fast dispatch. Compared to overseas suppliers with multi-week shipping times, HHC's local dispatch is noticeably faster, which matters a lot for buyer trust and reducing "where is my order" complaints.

Decent product photos and detail on listings. The product pages on HHC's own marketplace generally included multiple angles and clear specs, which made it easier to build my own store's product page around accurate information.

What Frustrated Me

No real Shopify order-sync automation. This was the biggest letdown. Despite tutorial videos with titles like "How to Connect Shopify With HHC," the actual process is manual — you have to log into HHC's site yourself and re-enter each customer's shipping details for every single order. There's no genuine API-based auto-sync pushing orders from Shopify to HHC automatically, unlike some newer platforms built specifically around that kind of automation.

Manual tracking updates. After HHC ships an order, you also have to manually copy the courier tracking number back into your Shopify order — another manual step that adds up as order volume grows.

Occasional stock-confirmation delays. Before running ads on a product, HHC recommends getting stock confirmation, which sometimes took longer than I expected, and I had to actively follow up rather than getting an instant, automated inventory sync.

Who HHC Actually Makes Sense For

If you're a beginner in Pakistan specifically targeting local, COD-expecting buyers, and you're comfortable with the manual order-entry process (or plan to keep order volume low enough that manual entry isn't overwhelming), HHC is a reasonable starting point. The local dispatch and COD support solve a real problem that international suppliers don't handle well for this market.

If you're planning to scale to high order volumes quickly, the lack of real automation will likely become a genuine bottleneck, and it's worth researching platforms with actual Shopify API integration before you hit that point.

My Honest Bottom Line

HHC solved the specific problem I needed solved — a local, COD-friendly supplier — but I went in assuming more automation than what's actually there. If you're considering HHC, go in with realistic expectations about the manual work involved, rather than assuming the "Shopify connection" tutorials mean full automation, because they don't.
